Candidate Profile: John is a proud husband to Elaine and father of three—Kai, Hattie, and Kalani. He grew up on a farm on the prairies, where he learned the values of kindness and hard work, and that in life, family and community mean everything. As a young man, he followed his passions for the environment, history, and public service when he began a career with Parks Canada—including 10 years managing Fort Langley National Historic Site.
