Candidate Name: Ali Ehsassi

Candidate Profile: Ali was first elected as the Member of Parliament of Willowdale in 2015 and was subsequently re-elected in 2019 and 2021. Prior to entering politics, Ali practiced law for over a decade at leading law firms in Toronto and Washington. Having worked on numerous landmark cases in the areas of international trade law, he was recognized as a pre-eminent legal practitioner in investor-State litigation, commercial arbitration, trade remedy and customs law. He also previously served as a senior advisor in international law to both ederal and provincial governments, and has taught courses and lectured at several colleges and universities.
