Empowering Voters Through Informed Choices and Transparent Political Insights
Saint John, NB – October 11, 2024 – Canadian Active Voice (CAV), a non-partisan public policy and advocacy platform, is excited to announce the launch of two key initiatives designed to empower voters for the upcoming New Brunswick provincial elections: the Candidate Comparison Platform and the Policy Comparison. These innovative tools provide voters with transparent, comprehensive, and accessible information on candidates and their platforms, fostering informed electoral participation across New Brunswick.
As the province prepares for the upcoming election on October 21, 2024, CAV is committed to supporting voters by offering impartial, easy-to-access insights into candidate profiles, policy stances, and party leadership priorities. These initiatives reflect CAV’s dedication to transparency and civic engagement, enabling voters to make more informed decisions at the ballot box.
About the Initiatives
- Candidate Comparison Platform
The Candidate Comparison Platform presents a detailed, side-by-side comparison of candidates running in each constituency. Candidate profiles and their positions have been sourced from official party websites and summarized using advanced AI tools. This platform enhances voter engagement by providing concise, easily navigable information, including direct links to candidates’ political websites for further exploration.

- Policy Comparison:
The Policy Comparison Questionnaire features responses from major political parties to a series of questions distributed by CAV. These questions cover essential policy areas such as economic growth, healthcare, environmental sustainability, and more. Where available, party responses have been included, and further details in the form of PDF’s from official party websites have been incorporated, providing voters with a comprehensive view of each party’s platform. The platform will be continuously updated as additional responses are received.
